Jannis (also known by his nick 'jezdez') is a core developer of Django and Pinax and chaired the recent DjangoCon.eu conference in Berlin.
Jannis will join our existing team of Brian Rosner, Alex Gaynor and Yulka Plekhanova, working on both client projects and Eldarion websites.
Jannis is to open-source software what Paul Erdős is to mathematical papers (see Erdős number for an explanation of the latter). Your "Leidel Number" is how many degrees of separation you are from Jannis in contributions to open-source projects. We're still on the lookout for anyone with a finite Erdős-Bacon-Leidel number.

Eldarion is an angel-backed start up focused on building great sites with Pinax and Django and helping you to do the same. We provide Pinax support & services, whether it's training, support or custom development you need.
We do web site development, both front-end and back-end, and can continue to maintain the site as it evolves. We provide managed hosting catered specifically to commercial, multi-tiered Django and Pinax deployments.
We're also working on some sites of our own, all developed with Django and Pinax of course and hosted on our infrastructure. Some will be serious commercial sites, others will be more lighthearted and fun.
